After then, it was placed as a tourist attraction on a road near Roswell, New Mexico, USA.<\/p>\n<p>However, the jet was recently purchased by a telephone bidder who identified himself as an Elvis fan for $260,000 at an auction in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>When the jet first broke through the clouds, both Elvis and his father, Vernon Presley, were on the aircraft.<\/p>\n<div class=\"b-r b-r--middle_content\">Even after Elvis\u2019 unexpected death more than three decades ago, the plane has stayed in the same place in New Mexico. You\u2019ll notice that the plane\u2019s exterior is painted a subdued red if you pay close attention. It appears to be exactly as I imagined the King of Rock\u2019s aesthetic to be.<\/p>\n<div class=\"b-r b-r--middle_content\"><\/div>\n<p>Wood paneling covers the walls, and luxurious crimson velvet covers the seats.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, a \u201chigh tech\u201d television setup is present. Behind the main room is a little kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>Take a look at the microwave, for instance. I seriously doubt that it still works given how old it is. Imagine Elvis standing up, going to the kitchen, and making the fabled Elvis sandwich\u2014a combination of peanut butter, mayonnaise, crispy bacon, and banana\u2014before heating it in the microwave. Battle the Past!<\/p>\n<p>Look in the bathroom! Naturally, there ought to be more velvet and a much more opulent sink. This is a breeze in comparison to the claustrophobic conditions on charter aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not really that bad, is it?
