Savannah, who lives in Middleburg, Florida, began documenting life with her daughters on TikTok after giving birth. Her honest and emotional videos quickly attracted thousands of followers who were inspired by her family\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n

In one of her posts, Savannah revealed that some people encouraged her to terminate the pregnancy after learning about the babies\u2019 condition.<\/p>\n

Doctors warned her that the twins might not survive.<\/p>\n

Still, she chose to continue the pregnancy and give her daughters every possible chance at life.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery appointment they were alive was a blessing to me,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

she explained.<\/p>\n

At the time Savannah received the diagnosis, her husband was away attending boot camp. As the pregnancy progressed, complications developed, and at 29 weeks she was admitted to the hospital.<\/p>\n

On May 12, 2021, Savannah gave birth to her twin daughters, Kennadi Rue and Mckenli Ackerman.<\/p>\n

Because they arrived nearly two months early, the babies spent several weeks in the NICU before finally being healthy enough to go home.<\/p>\n

Savannah later explained that the twins are known as \u201cmono di\u201d twins, meaning they had separate amniotic sacs but shared the same placenta.<\/p>\n

\u201cMo di twins as it is, it\u2019s like very rare. And then you throw Down syndrome on top of it, it\u2019s like one in 2 million,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Despite their rare condition, Savannah wants people to understand that her daughters are no different from other children.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have feelings. They have a beating heart. They know how to talk. They know how to do things you do. They will get there,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

she explained.<\/p>\n

She acknowledged that some developmental milestones may take longer, but she believes her daughters are determined and full of joy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve learned these kids are feisty little things and happy little things.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As Kennadi and Mckenli continue growing, Savannah regularly shares updates online, showing their progress and celebrating every achievement along the way.<\/p>\n

Her message has remained consistent from the beginning.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to let them know that they\u2019re just like us and they\u2019re going to get there as long as they put their minds to it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Savannah has faced cruel and insensitive comments from strangers criticizing her daughters and questioning her decision to keep the pregnancy.<\/p>\n
