The White House\u00a0is hitting back after John Mellencamp took direct shots at President Donald Trump\u2019s Gulf of America.<\/p>\n

Mellencamp paused his Saturday night show Holmdel, N.J. to mock Trump\u2019s executive order to rename the \u201cGulf of Mexico\u201d to \u201cGulf of America.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Monday, Davis Ingle, WH Spokesman, shared a statement with Fox News Digital. \u201cNobody in their right mind cares what out-of-touch, woke Hollywood celebrities have to say,\u201d Ingle said.<\/p>\n

As part of his \u201cDancing Words\u201d Tour, Mellencamp was singing the first few verses of his hit \u201cPink Houses,\u201d before he addressed the crowd directly.<\/p>\n
