Dolly Parton\u2019s death has shocked the entire world. Among those mourning the country legend is President Donald Trump. Just a day after her death, Trump made a bombshell claim about Dolly.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The legendary Dolly Parton has brought the entire world into mourning. Her nephew, Brian Seaver, shared the devastating news in an Instagram video on Tuesday, telling the world about Dolly\u2019s death. She was 80 years old.<\/p>\n

Her team later confirmed Dolly Parton had died after a brief battle with cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago, before I fully absorbed it as a future reality. As her head of security for more than two decades, a role my father Larry held before me, I have imagined the heaviness of this moment but haven\u2019t truly felt it until now,\u201d Seavers said.<\/p>\n

Dolly Parton dead at 80<\/h2>\n

\u201cIt is an honor, an honor that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness. But sadness lies with us, not with Dolly. Dolly has lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus, surely met by Carl, her parents, and countless others who have watched her and longed to meet her in the heavens.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the U.S, President Donald Trump didn\u2019t spare time to pay tribute to the beloved Dolly Parton. On\u00a0Truth Social<\/a>, the president wrote, \u201cVery sad to report that\u00a0Dolly Parton, one of the greatest Country singers, and far beyond, EVER, has just passed away. This is a true loss for millions of people. There has never been anyone like her, and never will.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump also announced that \u201cas a mark of respect\u201d for Parton\u2019s memory,\u201d\u00a0that \u201cthe flag of the United\u00a0States shall be flown at half-staff at the White\u00a0House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at\u00a0all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in\u00a0the District of Columbia and throughout the United\u00a0States and\u00a0its Territories and possessions until sunset, September 1, 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u00a0also direct that the flag shall be flown at half\u2011staff for the same period at all United\u00a0States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and\u00a0stations,\u201d Trump added.<\/p>\n

Dolly Parton declined Presidential Medal of Freedom twice<\/h2>\n

Dolly Parton has never been much of a politician. She didn\u2019t speak out on political issues, but instead took the initiative on her own to try to create a better world.<\/p>\n

She even declined the Presidential Medal of Freedom from both Donald Trump and former President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n

In 2021, she turned down the honor during Trump\u2019s first term, citing her husband\u2019s health and concerns about traveling during the COVID-19 pandemic. Later, she decided she could not accept the honor from Biden either.<\/p>\n

Speaking on NBC\u2019s\u00a0Today<\/em>\u00a0show, Parton said, \u201cI feel like if I take it, it\u2019ll be doing politics, so I\u2019m not so sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Donald Trump was a big fan of Donald Parton. He used her song \u201cJolene\u201d on his campaign playlist, but whether they had a personal friendship is unknown. However, on Wednesday, during an interview on Glenn Beck\u2019s radio\u00a0show, the president made a bombshell claim about Dolly Parton.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump makes claim about Dolly Parton after her death<\/h2>\n

Donald Trump said Dolly Parton \u201creally liked\u201d him, according to the\u00a0New York Post<\/a>. He also claimed the country music legend stayed out of politics because she didn\u2019t want to risk losing fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was unique. I mean, she was amazing,\u201d Trump said. \u201cAnd to lose her, it\u2019s like you lose a member of the family, you know, we all knew her so well.\u201d<\/p>\n

The president added that he knew Dolly Parton \u201ca little bit,\u201d adding, \u201cShe really liked me, I will tell you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was of the opinion, you know, the 50% \u2014 who needs to lose, I don\u2019t think it\u2019s 50. I think it\u2019s probably 20% of the fans, okay?\u201d he continued. \u201cBut she was a great person, and she was just a nice person. You know, I liked her a lot, and I thought it was a natural thing to lower the flags.\u201d<\/p>\n
