King Harald had been admitted to the hospital on Monday, August 17, and had been receiving treatment with steroids in recent weeks for hemolytic anemia. According to Cleveland Clinic, the condition is \u201ca blood disorder that typically happens when your red blood cells break down or die faster than your body can replace them with new blood cells.\u201d<\/p>\n
