She said that a lot of survivors experience something like it. She went on to say: \u201cYou carry this shame and feel like there\u2019s something inherently wrong with you. I definitely carried that burden.\u201d<\/p>\n
In her teenage years, things got so bad that she ended up trying to commit suicide. She said \u201cIt was the result of years of abuse, coupled with depression and substance abuse. Drugs and alcohol only made things worse. It was a breaking point.\u201d<\/p>\n
