She chose to sell the majority of the things she had purchased in hopes of bringing Noah home while she was still in mourning.<\/p>\n<p>She chose not to include the white crib in her yard sale last month because she was unable to part with it. Gerald Kumpula, a retiree, saw it, nevertheless, and begged to purchase it.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\">\n<div id=\"ityarkbork.com_responsive_2\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/23293390090\/ityarkbork.com\/ityarkbork.com_responsive_2_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>When Watts, 28, learned that Gerald, 75, was a craftsman who created benches out of used headboards and footboards, she finally gave in.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-3\">\n<div id=\"ityarkbork.com_responsive_3\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/23293390090\/ityarkbork.com\/ityarkbork.com_responsive_3_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.opposingviews.com\/.image\/t_share\/MTg3NTE4NDM0MDA5OTQ5NDM5\/baby2.png\" alt=\"Photo Credit: FOX 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Watts remarked, \u201cI was kind of at peace with it because he\u2019d be making something nice.\u201d She gave it up for two dollars.<\/p>\n<p>When Gerald\u2019s wife Lorene noticed the baby clothes at the sale and inquired about Watts\u2019 son\u2019s age, Watts struck up a discussion with her, sharing her tragic tale.<\/p>\n<p>Lorene told Gerald Watts\u2019 story on the way home. With fifteen children and several grandkids, the Kumpulas were aware that Watts was the rightful owner of the crib. The pair brought Watts a bench built out of the crib a week later.<\/p>\n<p>Watts said in an interview with TODAY.com, \u201cIt\u2019s beautiful.\u201d \u201cThere are still good people out there,\u201d I thought to myself.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.opposingviews.com\/.image\/t_share\/MTg3NTE4NDM0MDEwMDgwNTEx\/baby3.png\" alt=\"Photo Credit: FOX 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul\" \/><\/p>\n<p>She arranged the bench in her living room, a space that brings back memories of Noah.<\/p>\n<div class=\"b-r b-r--middle_content\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"aswift_7_host\"><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>She said, \u201cI\u2019m so happy that it\u2019s not just sitting around doing nothing.\u201d I may now sit in it, cuddle his bear, and reflect on him if necessary.<\/p>\n<p>In the final days of Watts\u2019s full-term pregnancy, she had noticed decreased movement from the fetus. On July 22, Watts and her fianc\u00e9 Jimi Hamblin learnt that Noah was not breathing during a cesarean section, and Watts survived. Doctors claim that Noah\u2019s umbilical chord constricted and prevented him from breathing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.opposingviews.com\/.image\/t_share\/MTg3NTE4NDM0MDA5OTUwMDk1\/baby4.png\" alt=\"Photo Credit: FOX 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Kumpulas were more sensitive to Watts\u2019 suffering than most because their first grandchild had been stillborn.<\/p>\n<p>Gerald stated, \u201cAn abandoned crib is a somber reminder.\u201d \u201cA bench functions more as a monument. It\u2019s a part of that awful event, but it\u2019s not a crib\u2014an empty crib\u2014like it would be.<\/p>\n<p>Gerald refused to accept Watts\u2019 offer of payment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing able to assist someone is just pleasant. Helping others is good,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.opposingviews.com\/.image\/t_share\/MTg3NTE4NDM0MDEwMDE1NjMx\/baby5.png\" alt=\"Photo Credit: FOX 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Watts is getting married to Hamblin this autumn, and they have a 7-year-old daughter named Nevaeh.
