At first, doctors believed they shared one brain, but later discovered that their situation was even more complicated. Despite the many risks involved, the medical team made the courageous and responsible decision to move forward with a separation surgery.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14287\" src=\"https:\/\/currentnews-foryou.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/image-101.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>At just 11 months old, the girls became the youngest conjoined twins ever to be successfully separated. The operation was extremely complex, but the doctors gave their all, and thankfully, the surgery was a success.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\"><\/div>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14286\" src=\"https:\/\/currentnews-foryou.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/image-100-1024x793.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Following the procedure, Erin and Abby required a long period of medical care and monitoring. Despite the difficulties, they began to grow stronger and develop their brain functions over time.
