Living with Polycystic Kidney Disease, his kidneys, weighing a total of 74 pounds, were crushing his lungs, stomach, and heart, making it impossible to eat solid food.<\/p>\n<p>Higgs, a former accountant, now relies on dialysis every two days and hopes to join the kidney transplant list next year.
