As reported, Garner was in a Santa Monica Beach parking lot earlier this week when she encountered a homeless man clearly in need of assistance.<\/p>\n

Realizing the situation, Garner exited her vehicle, knelt beside the man, and started putting socks on his feet.<\/p>\n

Not stopping there, the star of 13 Going on 30 took off her own shoes and tried to give them to the man as well.<\/p>\n

It quickly became clear that the shoes were too small, but Garner, not discouraged, approached a nearby paparazzo who had been following her and asked for his assistance.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat size shoes do you wear?\u201d she inquired, according to Page Six. \u201cCan I buy your shoes for him? He needs a pair.\u201d<\/p>\n

The photographer asked what size the man required, and Garner replied that the homeless man was a \u201c10 and a half.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, I\u2019m an 11! Do you want me to give them to him? I can give them to him,\u201d the paparazzo said. To his credit, the photographer declined any payment from Garner and willingly gave up his shoes.<\/p>\n

Naturally, Garner\u2019s kindness probably won\u2019t surprise anyone who has closely followed her life and career. The actress has been a long-time supporter of helping those in need, having teamed up with Save the Children over ten years ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile I didn\u2019t grow up in poverty, I was surrounded by it, and I always said I was just a generation and a holler away from rural poverty,\u201d she once shared with Southern Living.<\/p>\n
