An Indiana mother and three daughters tragically lost their lives in what appears to be murder-suicide.<\/p>\n

The bodies of Rebecca Hughes, 32, and the three children, Evelyn Newell, 8, Allison Newell, 6, and Amelia Newell, 5, were discovered following a welfare check.<\/p>\n

According to the\u00a0statement<\/a>\u00a0issued by the Indiana State Police, \u201cOn September 17, 2024, at approximately 11:20 a.m., officers with the Wolcottville Police Department were dispatched to conduct a welfare check at a residence in the 100 block of South Main Street in Wolcottville, IN. While at this residence officers located a deceased adult female and three children that were also deceased. After making this discovery, the Indiana State Police was contacted.<\/p>\n

Further, they said \u201cthere is not a threat to the public.\u201d<\/p>\n

The exact cause of death is yet to be determied.<\/p>\n

The children\u2019s father, Jonathan Newell, has set a\u00a0GoFundMe<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>page to help him with the funeral costs.<\/p>\n
