His sisters are waiting for him.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe turned off the life support, and the machines went silent. I kept my hand on his chest until his heart stopped beating. And he was gone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite their heartbreak, the couple made a promise: they would not allow despair to control their lives. These three little ones are pure joy\u2026 However, I was also trying to keep myself from breaking down in front of them. I would sneak into another room to cry quickly and then return with a smile on my face.<\/p>\n<div class=\"618414a931e9cd97c0c9c493bb22fb8a\" data-index=\"2\"><\/div>\n<p>A friend described Lori as \u201cextraordinary \u2014 everyone who knows her adores her. Above all, she\u2019s a mom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But in June 2025, heartbreak struck again. Chris noticed Lori becoming oddly clumsy \u2014 she was bumping into walls, dropping glasses, and stubbing her toes. By early July, symptoms resembling a stroke began to show. \u201cHer mouth started to droop a little bit,\u201d Chris recounted. \u201cIt became too significant to overlook.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aggressive brain cancer<\/h2>\n<p>Tests confirmed a large, aggressive stage 4 glioblastoma.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was hoping we had moved past the life-changing, life-altering disasters where everything you knew yesterday is gone,\u201d Chris expressed.<\/p>\n<p>In the months that followed, Lori went through two brain surgeries, suffered a stroke, and spent 40 days in the hospital, with Chris by her side almost every day. She came home to start chemotherapy and radiation, but the treatments left her drained and struggling to communicate. Later, doctors found a severe infection in her brain that required yet another surgery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt feels like she\u2019s just being tortured,\u201d Chris shared with People. \u201cI\u2019m not convinced that the treatment for cancer in this case is any better than the disease itself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FChrisCoble%2Fposts%2Fpfbid02pYPJmgjQycJABBNgtjGNQqkTey18vgwpXek5F8kAgkDSYYGyEBVkWPwjgVeYABpLl&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"466\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>By December, Lori managed to participate in a Zoom interview, but the day prior, she was hospitalized once more due to pneumonia. Soon after, she was moved to hospice care at home, allowing her family to be with her in comfort during her last days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m doing my best to make each day as wonderful as I can for her,\u201d Chris shared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to ensure that I have no regrets for the rest of my life about not doing everything I could every day for her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a Facebook post announcing her passing, Chris wrote: \u201cLori passed at 9:25 pm this evening.\u201d A family friend mentioned that Lori left this world surrounded by her loved ones.<\/p>\n<p>The Cobles\u2019 journey \u2014 from heartbreaking loss to miraculous new beginnings \u2014 showcases resilience, love, and the strength of the human spirit.
