When Jeni met Ray, she never wanted children, while Ray dreamed of having four. More than 30 years later, they became parents to sixteen children—nine boys and seven girls—making them Australia’s biggest family. Their busy home in Toowoomba is filled with cooking, chores, school runs, and laughter. With eight children still at home, Jeni spends about $600 a week on groceries, including 50 liters of milk, eggs, and yogurt. Organization and teamwork are essential, with children helping from a young age. Despite the challenges, Jeni and Ray see raising sixteen children as a joyful adventure based on faith, love, patience, humor, and strong family connection.
