The couple first met during the debut season of the Netflix reality series in 2021 and quickly became a fan favorite. Their breakup was initially reported by The U.S. Sun, while representatives for both have not yet commented.
Abbey and David appeared throughout all four seasons of the show and were considered its longest-running couple. Their relationship began with a memorable first date at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park on July 12, 2021.
During the fourth season, Abbey shared that neither of them felt ready for marriage, even though they already felt deeply committed to each other. She explained that she wanted to take things slowly, partly influenced by her mother’s experience with divorce.
At one point, after hearing about their co-stars Madison Marilla and Tyler White getting engaged, Abbey expressed hope that they would be next. Christine emphasized that their relationship didn’t need to follow traditional expectations, suggesting they could maintain separate living arrangements until they felt ready to fully combine their lives.
Abbey later shared in a March 2026 interview that she and David enjoyed spending time together visiting places like the L.A. Zoo, Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Griffith Observatory. She also spoke about how supportive David was, noting small gestures that helped her feel comfortable.
The couple celebrated their fourth anniversary in July 2025 with a return trip to the San Diego Zoo, where David gave Abbey a gift. Abbey’s last Instagram post featuring David came in December 2025 during a visit to Universal Studios, where she shared a video of them dancing and enjoying their annual pass.
