Although they were born over a decade apart, these siblings share an extraordinary trait.
Albinism is a rare genetic condition that results in a deficiency of pigmentation in the skin, eyes, and/or hair, giving those with albinism a distinctive appearance:
Having an albino child is quite uncommon… so it’s truly remarkable that one couple from Kazakhstan welcomed not just one, but two albino children, 12 years apart.
Introducing Asel and Kamila, the exceptionally unique siblings who have become sought-after models:
Asel, the older sister at 14, left her mother, Aiman Sarkitova, in awe when she was born with albinism.
“When I had my first child, our understanding of genetics was not very advanced,” she shared with the Daily Mail. “It’s only now that it’s progressing. The doctors were amazed.”
Can you imagine their astonishment when, 12 years later, Kamila arrived with the same condition?
It’s truly a remarkable and striking sight to witness these two siblings together—so they joined forces and became a modeling duo.
Asel has been modeling since she was 10, but with her 2-year-old sister by her side, she’s become even more sought after. Together, they boast over 33,000 followers on Instagram.
Although their albinism has brought them significant success, it’s not always a walk in the park. The condition is also linked to health issues such as sensitivity to sunlight.
“Whenever I step outside in the afternoon, I always make sure to apply sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and either don a hat or carry an umbrella,” Asel mentioned.
“In the evening, when the sun is nearly gone, it becomes much simpler for me.”
Despite the various challenges life may present, they will always support one another.
The rarity of this condition can make albino individuals feel isolated, but these two sisters are fortunate to have a family member who shares their experience.
And we hope that their achievements as models will help raise awareness about albinism and demonstrate the unique beauty of albino individuals.
“A lot of people are unaware of what albinos actually are,” Asel mentioned.
We believe these sisters are absolutely gorgeous! Spread this incredible story and share these lovely photos!
