Many individuals enjoy body modifications like tattoos as a way to showcase their uniqueness. Yet, there are those who strongly oppose such practices. Kerstin Tristan was among the latter until 2015, when a particular event changed her perspective forever…
At 56 years old, Kerstin Tristan is both a mother and a grandmother. However, her interests extend beyond what is typically expected of a grandmother. She has a passion for body modification art, especially tattoos.
Currently, her body is adorned with tattoos from head to toe, a commitment that required a significant financial investment. Interestingly, her love for tattoos wasn’t always this strong. She admitted that until 2015, she actually despised tattoos. So, what led to her change of heart? It was in that very year that she decided to get her first tattoo, which completely transformed her outlook on the art form.
“I simply just wanted to try something new. We all live just once, and I thought that at my age, something real has to come,” she expressed.
Since 2015, she has invested around 30,000 euros (approximately US $32,000) solely on tattooing her body. Fortunately, her choices have garnered her a lot of attention and admiration.
Her Instagram boasts over 190,000 followers, and her TikTok videos have amassed millions of views.
She confidently showcases her beauty! On Instagram, she shares photos of herself flaunting her whole figure. However, she didn’t always appear this way; just ten years ago, she was without tattoos and looked entirely different. Occasionally, she shares comparison images for her followers to witness the remarkable transformation.
The influencer from Germany has vibrant rose tattoos adorning her legs, a leopard print design on her shoulders, and numerous intricate portraits on her arms. These tattoos are just a few among many that cover her body.
She adores her current appearance, stating, ‘When I gaze into the mirror, I see a beautiful meadow filled with flowers that deserves love.’
And she’s not alone in her admiration; one fan commented, ‘A beautiful work of art.’ Another admirer remarked, ‘Wow, stunning photo.’

Self-expression shouldn’t be limited by age. In fact, Kerstin beautifully illustrates that age doesn’t dictate how we express ourselves to the world. What are your thoughts on her tattoos? We’d love to hear from you in the comments.
Feel free to share this with your friends and family to encourage them to live authentically!
