Once again, former President Donald Trump has stirred up controversy by promoting a baseless conspiracy theory on social media.

At 78, Donald Trump continues to spread misinformation, recently promoting a bizarre conspiracy that President Joe Biden died in 2020 and has since been replaced by robotic clones. The post, originating from a pro-Trump outlet, claimed “there is no #JoeBiden” and described current appearances as “robotic engineered soulless mindless entities.” Trump shared it on Truth Social, his platform launched after being banned from mainstream networks.

The post sparked widespread backlash online, with critics calling it “QAnon-level nonsense” and expressing concern over the state of U.S. politics. Many noted that Trump frequently amplifies extreme internet conspiracies.

The timing of his post drew extra scrutiny, coming just weeks after President Biden was diagnosed with aggressive metastatic prostate cancer. His medical team confirmed a high Gleason score of 9 but said the cancer is treatable with hormone therapy. Biden remains actively involved in his treatment decisions, supported by his family.

As Biden focuses on his health, Trump’s behavior online raises concerns about misinformation and deepening political divisions ahead of the 2024 election.
