Children are often brimming with energy and ideas, some more than others.
I remember, for example, that time when I was around 5 years old and thought it would be a fantastic idea to decorate my brother’s and my bunk beds with a marker pen.
I thought it was creative and beautiful… although my parents didn’t find it quite as funny.
These kids from Surrey, UK, had a much more pressing reason to use their creativity. While participating in an Easter egg hunt for a charity event aimed at raising funds for a boy with leukemia, the children suddenly heard a helicopter.
When they looked up, they discovered it was a police helicopter.
The police were in pursuit of two suspected burglars when the men separated. The children could see which way the men went… and quickly took action to help guide the policemen above.
The kids came up with a fantastic idea to lie down and create a human arrow using their bodies.
Initially, the police were puzzled by their actions – but they quickly understood that the children were directing them towards the culprits.
The two men, aged 27 and 28, were subsequently taken into custody on suspicion of burglary, all thanks to the kids’ smart thinking. The police later returned to express their gratitude to the children for their priceless assistance.
