Even before she had sung a single note, Zoë had already managed to captivate the judges. She responded by saying that if she were to win, she would purchase a large golden convertible and a large pink Barbie dream camper. This was the type of response that could only be given by a youngster who has a tremendous imagination. However, hidden behind that sweetness was something ferocious that was just itching to emerge.
When the song “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga started playing, the crowd anticipated hearing something like a sweet song. Zoë, on the other hand, produced a voice that was as powerful as a shockwave. Her tone was audacious, and her pitch was pinpoint exact; she had the type of ability that is often associated with prodigies, which is the subject of publications. She walked across the stage with self-assurance, complete with hair flips, and brought an enthusiasm that was way above her years to the performance.
The judging panel was taken aback. Sofia, who was utterly enamored with Zoë’s attitude and strength, said in a humorous manner, “You are my favorite contestant ever.” Heidi complimented her natural command of the stage, highlighting the manner in which she engaged with the audience as if she were a complete and utter professional. And with wide-eyed admiration, Howie referred to her as “fearless… brave… talented,” even going so far as to describe her a “adorable baby version of Lady Gaga.”
The choice was made without much effort by the time her performance was over. The panel as a whole gave Zoë four passionate “Yes” votes, which allowed her to go to the next round. However, everyone was left wondering how a girl of such a petite size could have such a powerful voice.
