Nicollette Sheridan burst onto the television scene as the alluring, cunning, and manipulative Paige Matheson in Knots Landing, a spinoff of the hit series Dallas.
The show first aired in 1979, but Sheridan made her debut in 1986, remaining a key character for seven years. She joined the cast right after appearing as John Cusack’s love interest in the film The Sure Thing.
In her role as Paige Matheson, she showcased both her sweet and devious sides, leaving a lasting impression on viewers.
“Paige is unique. She’s strong, ambitious, intelligent, and a bit mischievous,” Sheridan shared while reflecting on her character.
Not only did the stunning blonde capture the hearts of the audience, but she also received the 1990 Soap Opera Digest award for Outstanding Lead Actress and was named one of People’s “50 Most Beautiful People.”
Nicollette grew up in Hollywood, raised by her actress mother, Sally Adams, and her mother’s partner, Telly Savalas, known for his role as Blofeld. Originally from England, she moved to the United States at the age of 10. Although her strong accent lingered for years, she has since mastered the American accent.
“I was teased by the other kids, and I really disliked it. So, I practiced speaking with an American accent every day until I got it down,” she told the Tampa Bay Times in 1988.
Also known for her role in Dynasty, Nicollette Sheridan is among the many Hollywood stars who have faced difficulties in their marriages.
The 57-year-old England native was initially wed to actor Harry Hamlin, who is now 69, in 1991. Their marriage lasted just 11 months, and the reasons for their split became a topic of public debate.
Hamlin’s second wife, Lisa Ramlin, who is also 57, alleged that Sheridan had an affair with singer Michael Bolton during their marriage.
Ramlin brought up the rumored infidelity on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, while Sheridan has strongly refuted these claims.

Sheridan asserts that the reasons behind her divorce from her first husband were completely different, which sparked a public dispute on Twitter. During this exchange, Hamlin stood up for his second wife and accused Sheridan of being dishonest.
It’s also well-known that Sheridan had an on-and-off relationship with singer Michael Bolton starting in 1992, following her divorce.
Their romance lasted for five years, during which they split up but later got back together in 2005. They got engaged in 2006, but their relationship ended officially just two years later.
After her breakup with Bolton, Sheridan entered into a relationship with Aaron Phypers, whom she married. However, their marriage lasted only six months before they divorced.
Interestingly, like her previous husband, Phypers also went on to marry a star from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, tying the knot with Denise Richards in 2018.
At this time, Sheridan was also facing challenges in her career.
Her character on Desperate Housewives was unexpectedly killed off, and she alleged that her dismissal was due to her claims against creator Marc Cherry.
Many fans felt that the show lost its charm without Edie Britt, with some even choosing to stop watching after her departure.
Sheridan accused Cherry of physically assaulting her and subsequently filed a lawsuit against him after being removed from the show.
She also asserted that Cherry exhibited abusive and hostile behavior towards fellow actors and writers, but the lawsuit was dismissed in 2017.
At this juncture in her career, Sheridan understandably decided to step back from the limelight, opting to concentrate on smaller, more personal projects. She appeared in several Hallmark Channel films and participated in a 2017 reboot of Dynasty.
In 2019, her character in Dynasty was written off the show as Sheridan chose to prioritize spending time with her ailing mother.
“Revisiting the beloved role of Alexis in the Dynasty reboot has been a wonderful experience, but being with my terminally ill mother is my top priority right now,” she shared with TV Line in 2019.
