May be an image of piano and wedding

When many of us think of Dick Van Dyke, he seems like a man who is frozen in time. We might picture him dancing in Mary Poppins or perhaps even on his own television series, the Dick Van Dyke Show. Dick Van Dyke remains every bit the entertainer he was decades ago, but now that he is nearing 100, his style of entertainment has evolved slightly. Nevertheless, this doesn’t prevent him from continuing to do things that regularly surprise us.

Recently, he managed to capture the spotlight in a way that brings smiles to our faces. He appeared in Coldplay’s latest music video, which he filmed from his home in Malibu. In the video, he reflects on his life and shares his thoughts on aging. He states: “I’m acutely aware that I could go any day now. But I don’t know why it doesn’t concern me. I’m not afraid of it.”

The video is beautifully crafted and offers a more personal glimpse into Dick Van Dyke than it does a typical music video for Coldplay. At one moment, Van Dyke even breaks into a dance called ‘The Twizzle,’ which he performed on the Dick Van Dyke Show.

Dick Van Dyke pays homage to his children and holds a childhood photo of Stacy. He shares that she brings him comfort in his dreams, and soon the whole family comes out to be with him. There are countless reasons to admire Dick Van Dyke, and this video highlights each and every one of them.
